Communism is horrible. Why would ANYONE try if they got the same as the pathetic excuse of a human being? I sure as heck wouldn't try if I got paid the same no matter how poorly I do. I wouldn't take the hard option if the easy one was just as rewarding.
The U.S. won't be a major player in world affairs if we keep following Obama's policies. It only increases the debt and rewards people for failing. (Welfare)

I've never understood the whole idea of people getting paid to sit on their ass. I mean really, I know someone who is on welfare, not because they can't get a job, but because they refuse to get a job that involves leaving their house.
But people who work and aren't lazy (aka us) can't do anything about it. There are a lot more lazy and stupid people then there are smart people. Politicians just have to pander to them and they will get re-elected.

Personally, I like the idea of a meritocracy--a merit-based government/work system. You divide people into varying levels of skill in science, math, military, command, leadership, etc, and then they get assigned a job at that level in that area (my specific idea, not necessarily a meritocracy in general).
Oh, and a lot of Americans go to Mexico or something to get operated on/healed... just saying.

Hey hey hey... I'm innovative... I think I might have just explained the Higgs field via general relativity. (Won't go into detail here, but if I'm right you'll be hearing about it)

I guess I'll start this off.
Communism is bad. The way Obama is taking the U.S. will destroy the world as we know it. The U.S. will cease to be a world power.
^ Okay. SO many things wrong with this.
Obama isn't taking the US into Communism. Adding free health care could be seen as a form of socialism. You probably think that this is a bad thing, but so many things are socialist based in western countries, and also capitalism, and anarchism in small amounts, and God knows what else. Everybody paying tax is a socialist based economical policy. Without it capitalism and the free market would collapse. Giving benefits to stop people ending up on the streets is also socialism, but it is necessary for growth as people having jobs makes them feed money into the system, which is required to stop the economy collapse. Everything is a balance in western social economics, we're not fully anything of anyone system.
As far a socialism goes, everybody paying to provide healthcare is good. 17% of people in the US can't afford health insurance. One in three of those people will get cancer. Think about that for a minute.
The only way these people stop themselves dying is to go in debt by purchasing surgery, which is not good for the economy at all. This is disregarding the fact that in this system if you're poor and you get ill you will likely die whereas if you're rich you'll most likely live. No economical arguments there; I'm not comfortable than that, nor should you be. This is the 21st century not the middle ages. I don't see how everybody paying an amount of tax that is affordable for the individual to stop this happening is a bad thing at all.
Another claim that irks me is the idea that if you're poor you obviously don't work hard. This is simply not the case. Your income depends on your intellect and where you're born. If you are born to a rich family you will generally do better than if you are born to a poor one. Why is someone with a low income automatically lazy? Tarring people with the same brush and then using it as an excuse to prohibit upward mobility is Victorian thinking, and has no place in the modern think world.
