| So, as you all know RS3 gets released in 17 days. I don't know if you guys have been on the html5 client but it is awful. It's borderline unplayable for me and I have a custom built Intel quad Core i7 processor powered gaming computer with a fully dedicated graphics card that I just built last month. The lag and amount of bugs is just insane. This seems like it will just be a giant shit fest when it gets released so brace yourselves. Why is Jagex gonna released shit that is nowhere near ready AGAIN?? Did they not learn with EoC? Get ready to keep using Java with the new interface and the god awful camera that comes along with that whole deal. Thoughts? Is there something I'm missing here? | |

| Based off what I've heard, Jagex is using an HTML5 build that is more advanced than the one the players use. In the BTS videos, their HTML5 runs pretty smoothly on HD.
I'm assuming that they are purposely saving the optimization (which might be complete) for last since they want players to focus on bug testing. They might also want to make it so you get the full RS3 experience on the 22nd rather than players already knowing how it looks like and being less psyched (that parts failing though).

(Chrome)File size: 32.13MB (Firefox)File size: 20.51MB Both are July 2013 snapshots of Filehippo.com - Manwe wrote:

I somewhat agree, FPS is slightly better on Chrome, but ive experience WAY more crashes (Bad Java Support). And who plays in browser? #client - Manwe wrote:

This is mostly hardware-dependant, and this is RAM usage(June 2013). - Manwe wrote:

Firefox doesnt have any "annoying random things". Who uses IE outside of Computer-Illiterate folk? Lastly, id like to add that Mozilla is working with Activists for a free web, meanwhile, Google sells your browsing data to large companies so they can give you targeted ads. Firefox also supports more Operating systems (FreeBSD/Solaris), has more plugins, has been around longer, runs better on older hardware, has a faster development cycles, has a custom enterprise support cycle (ESR), comes in more languages AND can be configured to the old interface with the menu bar for Web developers. | html5test.com
Go there on Chrome Go there on Firefox Chrome wins (like 40 points out of 500 higher score + 10 more bonus)

But honestly, its not the browser per se, its the company i dont trust. Google in 2013 is like Apple in 2009 and Microsoft in 1999. You would be amazed how the latter two loosened up their strict policies after being made fun of by internet activists everywhere. Examples: - Xbox one - App store

| I have no idea what Apple in 2009 or Microsoft in 1999 were like. I don't keep track of the company, just the product. And Chrome, for me, runs the fastest and the most reliably. | |

| Yeah yeah, I let Six keep the leadership after I came back from scouting leadership methods.
Browser loads *way* faster and has no issues normally, so I prefer it over client except when it's malfunctioning (can't log in on browser ATM).
